Georgia River Cruiser (Macromia illinoiensis georgina), the more-colorful, southern variety of the Swift or Illinois River Cruiser. In real life, these large dragonflies patrol long stretches of rivers and streams, have great endurance, can fly at high speed, and catch their prey in flight.
Mine has a range of about 28 inches on account of needing to be tethered to a battery box. Each wing is attached by a cross-axle which swings up and down and a flex-axle which is fixed at one end. The idea was to give the wings a bit of "twist" when they move, generating forward thrust that might propel the MOC. At the prototype stage, I thought it just might work. Alas, with the addition of all the extra weight for eyes, legs, and tail, it was too heavy to move itself. So I stuck a XL Motor on the boom and called it a day.

Peace To All,
This is a little pc section in my living room that is just full of goodies, divided by a 100gal. Odell Aquarium. The famous Tony Graham, "Manhattan" poster, a HUGE Panton wall hanging, White walls Technics speakers, Panton Rya Rug framed, Neevco Chrome Chair, Panton Chromed floor lamp, and a very rare Stilnovo space aged lamp. Please comment and keep looking at other groovy item from my home.
Blessings To All.

Here is a picture of a Formaspace Benchmarx, which features upper shelving attached to unistruts. This allows for infinite height adjustment of the shelves, unlike traditional slotted height adjustment.

In Argentina, like in many parts of the world, water is at risk of over-exploitation and contamination. To protect it, scientists are studying its most invisible details with the help of nuclear technology.
Scientists can determine the quantity and quality of water supplies. How? They use naturally occurring isotopes as tracers and study water's isotopic composition to find out where groundwater comes from, how it travels, if it is recent or old, its recharge rate and whether it is polluted.
The science behind this is called isotope hydrology and the IAEA supports countries through training, equipment and technical expertise.
