Already got a modern Sony 100 WPC stereo receiver but the most vintage audio enthusiast and technical experts mentioned under the same output wattage, audio amps from the 70's - 80's have more power than the modern's. I believe "Class A" amps are more significant, not sure about "New Class A". Will compare them side by side later.
Hooked up the HPM-60 and found major improvement in bass compare to the Denon PMA-501's 50 WPC. Clarity of tones are also outstanding, is this benefited by the "New Class A"? Anyway, the SU-V8 has more power and 3 years newer technology.
Juan Carlos Lentijo, IAEA Director, Division of Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Waste Technology, Department of Nuclear Energy, delivers his opening remarks during the launch of CONNECT at the Agency headquarters in Vienna, Austria. 28 October 2014.
The IAEA launched its online platform, CONNECT, in conjunction with an interregional training workshop from 28 to 31 October 2014.
CONNECT is an easy-to-use online environment that brings together existing and planned professional and expert networks from IAEA Member States, with the aim of facilitating collaboration and sharing of information and experience from across the nuclear field. I'm not about to replace my SL-1700 with this thing, but for a mid-range turntable it's pretty nice. And, it's the first fully automatic Technics I found for my collection. Even though the dust cover is busted and it didn't come with a headshell, it's not a bad deal for a sawbuck. It has a plastic plinth but it's thick and solid and the platter is as heavy-duty as you would expect to find on higher end turntables.
Even though this turntable is fully functional and sounds great it does need some cleaning, minor adjustments and repair. There's some strange grounding issue; when I touch the tonearm or even the finger grip on the headshell, it'll produce a hum. And of course the pitch adjustment and a few other parts could use a few squirts of electrical contact cleaner.
This is Grumpy.
Grumpy is a robot build with Lego Power Functions. He can pick things up and drop them where they belong. To give him a little personality, he can shake his had and raise his eyebrows.
All functions are done with only four motors.
I have a whole collection of Lego Technic models. Yesterday I decided to get them out again and put one together. I chose this plane and it took me about twenty minutes to finish it.

Lego Unimog 8110; I added a pneumatic cylinder to raise the loading bed. It is also driven by the motorized pump of the Unimog. It is working pretty good. The angle could be better, so there is still room for improvement. ;o)

Small crane made for the technic challenge. Couldn't participate tho due to a lighting strike... (didn't have internet for a couple of days)

Mechanics to adjust the main rotor blades pitch. This is working fine when sitting idle. Rotating blades (with a motor) cannot be adjusted as the mechanism relies on gravity. When running the blades on higher speed the blades generate such a centrifugal force that they won't adjust :-)
