These are the plushies I made for the Crammed Organisms show. They are four real life unicorns. They each have 'unicorn' embroidered on them. I wanted to do something that was a bit different and unusual, and I pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Honda Celebration of Light is one of the biggest events in Vancouver. Every year there will be three teams competing with each other. This year's participants are India, Canada, and Croatia. I was in Seattle last Saturday when India was performing their firework.
Fortunately, I didn't miss yesterday's one which was Canada. I arrived to the location (Granville Bridge) 2 hours before the firework. By that time, there were so many photographers on the bridge setting up their gears.
Throughout the firework show, I used Fujifilm's app to control my shutter release. It worked perfectly and I could control my exposure from 2 to 10 seconds. I think the hardest part of taking firework shots is the timing before pressing the shutter and releasing the shutter. I realized that 5 to 8 seconds are the sweet spot :)

A pole vaulter clears the bar in the Lego Olympics. This is the athlete minifig from Series 20 (with a different hairpiece) and I've been wanting to show her upside down for awhile now. When she's upside down, you can see that her number says "LEGO".
She got the gold medal in her event! :-)

A big thanks to Lynne for telling me about the butterflies.
These guys were not easy to capture. Leaning down over a fence in Macro mode. The wind was strong and blowing the buddleia plant something mad.
Between Lynne & and myself we managed to get a couple of shots of the peacock butterflies and bees that were not too bad.
Taken at Summerlee, Coatbridge.

Here are the shoes of team Zissou from the Life Aquatic.
For some reason Adidas never put these shoes up for sale. This treatment is not official by any means; just for fun.

We planed 2 photo shoots for this week with some corporate people. Initially we had one today and one tomorrow. But it is a busy time for everybody so just tomorrow was scheduled. The plan for tomorrow is for something like the photo above and other concept images as well but I was very surprised to learn that a lot of people; rich, important people like them do not have any clue about the things that are involved in a good photo session and the things that are required from the models especially if they are not professionals and are not really in the mood to pose.
I would have guessed that any man was at least once interested in watching a playboy photoshoot (with perfectly good looking models) that would revel also something about the lighting and modeling that is involved. . . The best example of how clueless they were is the fact that this morning they called the advertising agency that works for them and asked if it's possible to book a photosession with me for today after all( LOL) .
But the best part is not that. . . They also said something about them heaving important guests whit whom they would love to try some concept images and that they have an hour or so in the afternoon for that. Isn't that hilarious?!! It really made my day. We laughed today more then once thinking about it. They are other wise really cool and nice people but you see.... not familiar with photography. Go figure. :)

Trying to get 9 hyperactive eight year olds in one place single handed, and then making sure they're all actually in the shot...well, I tried.
I had intended photographing a few of the 80 or so teams, but after two of them, I was so exhausted I had to go and have a little lie down.
