I was followed recently by this group of gulls while walking through a local park. Like a surveillance team but I suspect hoping for lunch.
Oft haben nun schon die LEDs auf meiner MacroLens anderweitige Beleuchtung überflüssig gemacht. Daran kann man sich gewöhnen :-)

I went back to visit the wasps nest five days later to see how the larvae were progressing. They became very protective this time. I made two photos and left them alone. The larvae have progressed tremendously.
I don't think I ever did a group shot. Whatcha think? Tell me in the comments!

"Colonel Mayweather, we have a mission of the utmost priority, stat. Get me Seal Team One immediately!
After a short pause Mayweather replied, "Sir, you sent them into Afghanistan"
"Seal Team Two then!"
"They just got back from leave and half of them are in the hospital recovering..."
"Three?"
"Um, you recall the incident with the generals daughter?"
"What have you got?!"
"Seal Team Ten sir, but we haven't used them in years..."

Last July I was invited to an air show, it was fantastic and I really enjoyed photographing the aircraft.
This is the AeroSuperBatic wing walking team. They have performed around the world and are the Guinness World Record holders, They were amazing to watch. Unfortunately one of the planes suffered technical problems and crashed into the sea at the Bournmouth Air Festival two months later. Miraculously the pilot and lady wing walker escaped serious injury and thanks to the pilots expertise the plane just missed hitting the harbour and boats. The Air Accidents Branch say it could be up to a year before they share its findings.

On the way back to the San Francisco Bay Area from Nevada we stopped at the Borax Mine, located between Las Vegas and Bakersfield. The visitor center has a statue of a twenty-mule team, were a team of eighteen mules and two horses attached to large wagons transported borax out of Death Valley from 1883 to 1889.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Death Valley, California
We’re standing part way down a long dry wash in 20 Mule Team Canyon, looking east towards the Funeral Mountains.
This location is doubly misnamed. First of all, it is not a canyon, it is a badlands. The soft, colorful sediments here are the same as those found nearby at Zabriskie Point and Golden Canyon, the remains of an ancient Miocene epoch lake. Secondly the wagons of borax each pulled by 20 mules (and two horses) back in the 1880s never came anywhere near this area of the park.
Its breading season, and all the birds are very busy nest building.
These two Eurasian Coots, are working together very efficiently.
She is on the nest, and he is bringing nesting material to her at an impressive rate?
Every 15-20 seconds, he is back with more, as she rapidly builds the nest around her.
Here he is, handing over with great care, some more to her.
It was fascinating to watch? Remarkable teamwork!

The horse team that pulls the omnibus at Greenfield Village, and just like any good piloting team, this one has an experanced vetern, and a lesser experanced member.
As a personal note, one of the members of this team took a dislike of the photographer when they approached, and expressed this dislike with a snort and a hoof stomp.
An important part of living by the water is having a good water rescue team. These guys were practicing some of their procedures down by the harbor this week. We have heard enough stories on the news of people who have been rescued (or sadly recovered) by men like these and we are ever so grateful for their efforts.
