John's first teaching post was in Oxfordshire. He told me:
"I took a job at Kingham Hall in Oxfordshire, which was a boarding school for maladjusted children (boys). Maladjustment covered a multitude and included some boys who had been through the courts."

Here Luk is teaching one of the classes at Family Camp. He taught two lessons. One on Serving like Christ and another on Praying like Christ.
Some of the scenarios simulated at the beginning of the week are repeated after a a week of intensive teaching.

Every year, I judge the mock trials held by the civil clinic I took when I was a law student. I learned more about lawyering and human nature in that year-long class than in any other course I took in law school. It's a joy to be able to give back , by sharing the knowledge I learned on the foundation provided to me by the clinic.
Here, I'm reading the pre-trial motions in limine and redacted exhibits the night before the trial. And, not coincidentally, planning to be the meanest judge they'll ever have to appear before.
Better me, than a real judge, no? Better to learn before it means something to their bottom line. The luxury of being able to learn? Incredible. The joy of being able to teach? Even moreso.

This support is helping him to achieve his potential and he has received distinctions for the modules completed so far, as well as high marks in his assignments.
Zak is studying Childcare and his dream is to become a Teaching Assistant in a deaf school.
SAM put together an incredible event for kids to celebrate "Earth Day", and invited me to join in! Worm bins, scavenger hunts, Tesla coils, recycled art projects, eco-gaming, walking school buses, and free organic trail mix all made for a big crowd and engaged crocheters. Several of the people I worked with were just in the park that day, and were just drawn to all the crazy fun ( the hair raising Tesla coil!) It also continues to be my great pleasure to teach really young children to crochet, as well as work with families making together!

About a month ago, an elementary school invited me to talk to children about origami. I accept the invitation and when the children saw what they can do with a piece of paper they got so excited so I teach them how to fold traditional origami crane and how to fold a mushroom by crampling the paper. As you can see, when they finished their first folding, they were really happy about origami :-)
