This is the tag for a miniature rhododendron I bought from Bodnant gardens years ago. The rhododendron really has remained tiny,. The tag has decayed elegantly and is completely indecipherable. Lots of different textures here.

Nach vielen grauen Tagen folgte am letzten Wochenende endlich mal wieder viel Sonne, zumindest am Freitag und am Samstag. Da ich Freitag arbeiten musste, sollte der Samstag auf alle Fälle genutzt werden.
Schon länger liebäugelte ich mit einem Ausflug an die Deisterbahn, da in absehbarer Zeit (ab 06/2022) die S-Bahn Hannover von DB Regio an die Transdev mit der eigens gegründeten "SBH" an den Start geht (mal schauen ob das wirklich klappt...).
Zum Sonnenaufgang des 19.12.2020 waren wir vor Ort und konnten mit dem 30 Minuten Takt viele Fotostellen umsetzen. Leider war jede Doppeleinheit großflächig beschmiert (mind. immer ein Triebwagen davon), sodass das Fotografieren nicht ganz so viel Freude bereitete und viel Arbeit am PC wartet.
Einzige saubere Doppeleinheit war ein Umlauf auf der S1, bestehend aus 424 001 "Burgdorf" und 424 040. Nachdem am Mittag bereits ein Bild geglückt war, hofften wir auf eine pünktliche Rückfahrt, da es eng werden könnte mit den Schatten. Es wurde verdammt eng, aber trotz +4 schafften es die beiden Triebwagen knapp vor Schlonz und Schatten in den Bahnhof Bantorf einzufahren, sodass das Bild mit der alten Windmühle von Wichtringhausen noch klappte. Der Zug war S 34177 Hannover Hbf - Haste unterwegs.
Info zur Bildbearbeitung: Ein größeres Gebüsch im vorderen Triebwagen (links) wurden entfernt.

I wish I had gotten a shot where I could make out the text on the little leg-tags on this bird. Tag on a red wall. Its amazing what you find even in the most mundane places, like a carpark. I took my mother to an appointment and whilst she was in I walked around the carpark with my camera and found all manner of interesting things to photograph.
