Vintage Chocolate size 12 x 26 table runner. I picked a Consumer Reports magazine and this shows page 28. A bathroom with browns and teals and straight lines. More photos at:

The pouncing effect is interesting, but not really 'grain-y'. I still have to touch up the other red chair before staining it as well.
Finally finished finishing the finish on this small table for the front hall entry area of the house. The table is made of walnut with maple racing stripes for speed and agility. The shape of the top is kind of a modified octagon. Octagons are a theme around here: there's a small octagonal window above the front door, the front garden bed is octagonal. There's even an octagonal planter (or small umbrella stand) pictured on the floor there in the corner. Standard mortise and tenon joinery was used. The finish is about 4-6 coats of Minwax Wipe-On Poly (more on the top). I've been dawdling over this one all summer, nice to see it finally done.
Recently, I have come to appreciate wine. Two years ago, my palate consisted of the vocabulary words: red, white. Nowadays, while I still know little, I do enjoy tasting wine. I like to compare and contrast similar wines, and typically create a mental venn diagram about them.

The Table Rocks consists of a lot of broken up parts of the mountain face, leaving numerous caves and crevices. I did not go exploring inside but I ventured to the top of the rocks to check out the view. Two buzzards are perched in a tree expecting no company here. But, here I am...
Approx. 14" square, this rustic piece features a reclaimed wood top and a logo reminiscent of the original Siesta Key Fish Market. The base was upcycled from another found piece and has a pale blue wash with wax finish.
