The AJ Lamp, the iconic lamp designed in 1960 by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel Copenhagen (together with the Egg and Swan chairs). It’s manufactured by Louis Poulsen.

This set of photos is a try to capture the mood and feeling of some things we’ve got at home. I didn’t want to photograph the whole, but rather some details that would give out the mood of the object. For this I used the 5D with the 100mm macro lens. All shot handheld with available light.

While inevitably some components of the lamp had to be imported from abroad Wide Awake is made right here in the UK, ensuring it has a relatively small carbon footprint.
