One can practically see and smell the Med just by gazing at this wonderful lamp.
Monumental in size and fabulous!
Mediterranean blue, with incised waves at neck glazed in turquoise and greens of mediterranean. Ahhhh, Ca-a-apri!
Attributed to Bitossi, and most likely produced for Raymor (appears to be Raymor hardware, ceramic specs at top of body).
Outstanding!
We didn't find this one on the set of an old sitcom, but we did think the homage to Punky was apt. Please meet, Funky Brewster!
We've been making this style of lamp for nearly seven years and it has always been a favorite.
Here we take a 1960s Universal percolator and add two amber flashing C7 bulbs to the interior to light the glass top, and another in the base to illuminate the old red "coffee is ready" light! We love it!
Next door is an avocado green melmac cup with light brown saucer. Both are attached to a reclaimed antique brass lamp base. A three way rotary switch allow for separate or simultaneous illumination of the components. New cord. All bulbs included. 19"H x 16"W
How about moving Funky Brewster to your funky abode!

This week's shot is from my other side business, which is actually more of a hobby than anything else. I build functional & creative lamps and other goodies made from recycled bike parts. This is one of my latest creations, half of an old Rockshox Judy SL fork. These smaller lamps are my favorite to create as the size and functionality is perfect for most spaces.
I was working on an Etsy-worthy shot for marketing purposes and was fairly happy with the end result. Nikon D300 w/ Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 lens at 33mm. 1/60 sec, f/2.8, ISO 500 with ambient light.

This set of photos is a try to capture the mood and feeling of some things we’ve got at home. I didn’t want to photograph the whole, but rather some details that would give out the mood of the object. For this I used the 5D with the 100mm macro lens. All shot handheld with available light.
