I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.
On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.
These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, and having moved from professional Nikon equipment to consumer bodies and lenses, I travel light less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 22.893+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

**** This frame was chosen on August 7th 2018 to appear on FLICKR EXPLORE (Highest Ranking: #80. This is my 103rd photograph to be selected, which for me is both amazing and exciting, as I never view my images as worthy compared to some of the awesome photography out there. EXPLORE is Flickr's way of showcasing the most interesting photos within a given point in time -- usually over a 24 hour period.
Flickr receives about 6,000 uploads every minute -- That's about 8.6 million photos a day! From this huge group of images, the Flickr Interestingness algorithm chooses only 500 images to showcase for each 24-hour period. That's only one image in every 17,000!..... so I am really thrilled to have a frame picked and most grateful to every one of the 17.950 Million people who have visited, favourite and commented on this and all of my other photographs here on my FLICKR site. *****

Shown here with a semi-typical loadout of 6-inch rockets, the Frecraid fills an odd niche. Capable of operating from almost anywhere thanks to a thrust diversion system, its speed - nearly Mach 2 - allows high-turnaround support despite stringent ordnance-weight restrictions, and minimises time spent in hostile airspace.

This build is my first major build for about a year and a half, so diving back into my hobby I chose to build something have much affection for: a racer from the racing game series Wipeout. I've built several Wipeout racers before, but since the latest addition Wipeout 2048 I've been dying to recreate one of the sleek ships that blend present-day racecars with the futuristic ships of the previous Wipeout games. However, only recently have I acquired enough red pieces to tackle a build of such scale. I wanted to include custom decals for the sponsors and logos on the ship, but being a purist I opted for strictly brick-built details.
This is an APS-H photo shot on Fujifilm APS Nexia A200 using a Yashica Profile 4000iX camera.
I did this because all the equipment involved was cheap and easy to get, but it sucked. It wasn't worth it. Here's my blog post about it.

The Devils Spring System has several springs in its short run to the Sante Fe River. The caverns of its spring heads are very popular for cave diving. It is but one of numerous springs that can be accessed at Ginnie Springs, a private campground located outside of High Springs, FL.
On February 23rd, 2023 morning, most of the IT systems of Hungarian State Railways stopped working.
This caused problems for passenger information and train tracking systems, and also for almost all MÁV employees. Train drivers and conductors had to fill out (even more) A4 papers throughout the day instead of logging their work in the online systems.
After getting home from university this day, I headed out to the nearby farm to capture passenger train #2923 with this nicely blossoming tree. It was a thrilling experience waiting around without knowing when the train would arrive, but to my luck, it managed to show up before the sun disappeared behind the tree lines.
This February 8, 2016 composite image reveals the complex distribution of phytoplankton in one of Earth's eastern boundary upwelling systems — the California Current. Recent work suggests that our warming climate my be increasing the intensity of upwelling in such regions with possible repercussions for the species that comprise those ecosystems.

Our responsibilities include the collection, processing, calibration, validation, archive and distribution of ocean-related products from a large number of operational, satellite-based remote-sensing missions providing ocean color, sea surface temperature and sea surface salinity data to the international research community since 1996.

Special:
- Early 50s Sir John Black, the former director, instructed designer Walter Belgrove to produce a prototype, which in 1950 resulted in the Triumph TR X, also known as the "Bullet". For several reasons it wasn't a success.
- However, Black saw a clear market for a small, inexpensive sports car and in 1951 Belgrove and chassis designer Harry Webster again commissioned to design a prototype, based on Triumph parts: The engine of a Standard Vanguard, suspension of the Triumph Mayflower and the chassis of the pre-war Standard Flying Nine.
- In 1952 this prototype appeared at the annual London Motor Show, called 20TS (Triumph Sports), later renamed as TR1.
- The TR2 ("TR" stands for Triumph Roadster) design of Walter Belgrove was given a restyle by Harris Mann, with the grille over the entire width of the nose, fitted with front disc brakes, further backwards mounted (smaller) headlights, a new interior, new taillights, door handles on the outside, boot lid handle (instead of two cheap "bolts") and a slightly tuned engine.
- The "TR3A" name was not used officially (and not badged), as is evident from contemporary sales brochures.
- It is estimated that there are only 9,500 survivors.
- They were assembled in Coventry (UK), Melbourne (Australia), Liege (Belgium), Mechelen (Belgium) and in South Africa.
- The “3” was (more or less) only intended for export (less than 10% “home deliveries”), mainly to North America, to compete the MG.
- The TR3A was a reliable vehicle; proven in 1960 during the grueling Le Mans 24 Hour race where three cars were entered and finished, placing ninth, eleventh and fifteenth.
- They had also much success in competition rallies including the Coupe des Alpes in 1958, the Circuit of Iceland event, class wins in the Tulip Rally and Monte Carlo and Liege-Rome-Liege events.
