CN 2598 switching the Pinnacle Pellet plant in Lavington on the Lumby Sub. The plant which is opposite the Tolko mill, opened in 2015 and contributes about 2500 carloads a year to this Okanagan Valley switcher.

Great Lakes Central does not normally run on the weekends, but an extra OSTN was called on this Sunday to pick up a large cut of cars from the CSX interchange at Ann Pere in Howell. Now back in Owosso, the crew switches out the train, blocking it out for the next day's northbound. Leading the train is GLC's newest repaint, SD40-2 #382, followed by veteran GP35 #390 and GP38-2 #396.

GP15-1 1531 assisted by CF7 1500 switching in York, Pa. 1500 was the last CF7 built by ATSF. Older pic, recent travels to York have not found it in operation.

UP's Marsh Job shuffles hoppers on the near south side at the Port of Milwaukee, a place that still employs a decent amount of local switching work from both the UP and CP.
I love this collage. I passed by it in a car for years and never realized how achingly beautiful it is until I walked by it on a quiet Sunday and stood and really looked at it. Made of thousands of old telephone switching parts it was created in 1961 by Anthony Heinsbergen and is located at 420 S. Grand on what is now the AT&T building.
BNSF 1462 moves a couple bad ordered cars around at Willmar yard before departing as the Aberdeen local.

Today I was playing around with Scott's make up and I loved to turn out so I decided to upload hope u like ;)
A gorgeous October day sees a switcher out of Martin heading up the Utah mainline to the Wild Cat Oil Load-Out. The lead locomotive SD40 CEFX 3103 exCP 5566 was built in 1966.
The bridge the train has just crossed once spanned the Rio Grande branch to the coal mines near Standardville. Just beyond the bridge was Jacobs where the Utah Railway's own Standardville branch departed from the mainline. The branch was built on a steep 3.9% grade for 3.6 miles......
Maine Switching Services hauls CSX Sappi-4 up the steep grade into the Sappi mill complex on 6/16/2024.
LTEX GP9u 1585 was added at the mill crossing, since extra power was required to make the hill. The track splitting off from the mill lead runs to a small 7 track yard, the slurry tracks, as well as two spurs into the warehouse. The is another yard to the north of the mill as well as some storage tracks in the former log yard.
