Atlantis Submarines International, also known by the trade name Atlantis Adventures, is the world's only public passenger submarine fleet designed for touring purposes.
Atlantis was founded by Dennis Hurd in 1985. The submarines are battery operated, non-polluting, air-conditioned, and pressurized. They are certified by the American Bureau of Shipping to operate to a depth of 150 feet. For safety reasons, unlike conventional Naval and research submarines which operate at or around neutral buoyancy, the Atlantis submarines maintain constant positive buoyancy, exerting constant thrust to remain submerged; thus, in the event of a power failure, they surface immediately and without human intervention.
In order for passengers to reach the submarine they board a shuttle ferry, then they enter the submarine via steep stairs. When the submarine goes down they see corals, sunken ships, treasures, and fish through large viewports. When the submarine ride is finished the passengers are returned by the ferry to shore where they are given dive certificates. Some 12 million passengers have taken the Atlantis submarine tour to date.

Surface Tension - I love the strong lines that seem to burst out of the pavement creating tension throughout the frame.
A puddle that made the pavement so much more interesting with the reflections it was catching. Many a PIPer took a shot of this from different perspectives see One Puddle PIPed.

Vobster Quay looking positively tropical. 11˚C at the surface and 8˚C at 12m. Had to jump into the water as it has been so long since my last dive. No Perch or Trout to be seen.

This image has been inverted, hues then altered with some paint bucket work, then inverted back to the almost original colors.
This photograph was taken during a photography trip to Guadalupe Island in Mexico. Guadalupe Island is a white shark hot spot and in my opinion the number 1 location for observing/ photographing great white shark behavior. The gin like water is so clear that it allowed me to experiment with photographing underwater using only natural light. These photos were taken using a combination of surface and submersible cages that were lowered to 10 meters.
