I started out this year with certain intentions. I was quitting my day job to give art a go full time. I had gotten a website going and created a blog. I set up an Etsy shop to sell prints, and I applied for 2 major grants. Then the world stood still. Not really, but my good intentions went down that notorious road to hell. I continued to make art, but completely ignored the website, blog and print shop, which has no prints in it. I have been active here, which is something, but what the hell happened? I'll tell you. After several months of tormenting myself with existential angst, the simple truth; is I got scared. I mean the hard questions about purpose and meaning are still there, but selling a few prints will hardly interfere with that. I have to admit that I just got nervous about the details. What if the prints don't look good? What if I can't keep up? What if I spend more money than I make? What if...... You get the idea. So I'm here to say, while I can't tell you what the meaning of life is, I am ready to get out of my own way. Again. So while last weeks portrait, about going into the dark had a different intent then, it is still most pertinent. Faith is what I need to trust that I can. I can ponder the deep stuff, with one foot in progress! I can do so much more than I allow, and so can most of you!

The ground service equipment for the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite arrives at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Oct. 13, 2022. SWOT is the first mission that will observe nearly all water on Earth’s surface, measuring the height of water in the planet’s lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and the ocean. The satellite is set to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in December from Vandenberg’s Space Launch Center-4 East. Microsoft Surface is a series of tablets designed and marketed by Microsoft. It was announced on June 18, 2012, by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. The Surface comes in two versions: one with Windows RT and another with Windows 8 Pro. The Windows RT model uses an ARM CPU, while the Windows 8 Pro model uses an Intel CPU. Both models are able to install new applications via the Windows Store, however only the Windows 8 Pro model allows the installation of traditional third-party desktop programs.
