I just started a partnership with TREES FOR THE FUTURE! For every print you buy, I will contribute 10% to planting trees in developing countries (a $10 print = 10 trees!) and 20% for original pieces (that can be 70 trees or more!).
At the beach today we saw this child holding something out so that she seemed to control a flock of seagulls. The seagulls just hovered above her, perhaps waiting for her to throw away whatever she was holding, or perhaps considering how to take that away. It was mesmerizing.

This photo is dedicated to a girl I meet on the gray hound six years ago. I forget her name, but she was a year or two older than me. I recall I found her really interesting and cool until she told me that she was Crystal the water goddess. She was writing a story with her friends and everyone had their own identities. At the time I was judgmental and I thought basically people who diverged from the norm were strange and therefore I had an right to make fun of them. I didn't do it to her face, but I told my friends at the time about her stories. And, we were making jokes about how lame Crystal the Water Goddess was. And, now I am reflecting on my reaction to when a stranger opening themselves to me telling me about their imagination . And, I reacted like a horribly and I hope now that I am more of an open person when it comes to people exposing their-selves to me that I'll listen to what they have to say without judging them. Plus having an imagination is awesome :)

Fireworks explode above a statue of Abraham Lincoln in Springfield, Kentucky in front of Washington County courthouse on Main Street. The small town celebrates the original thirteen British colonies becoming independent and a republic. The United States of America was born in order to pursue a level of democracy that the British system did not give and that we craved. A war ensued and the rising world superpower of the time, Great Britain, was defeated.
Springfield celebrates Independence Day an evening earlier than the rest of the country.

Much like the eclectic group of space rebels in the upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has some amazing superpowers, specifically when it comes to observing innumerable galaxies flung across time and space.
A stunning example is a galaxy cluster called Abell 370 that contains an astounding assortment of several hundred galaxies tied together by the mutual pull of gravity. That’s a lot of galaxies to be guarding, and just in this one cluster!

Photo caption: Galaxy cluster Abell 370 contains several hundred galaxies tied together by the mutual pull of gravity. Photographed in a combination of visible and near-infrared light, the brightest and largest galaxies are the yellow-white, massive, elliptical galaxies containing many hundreds of billions of stars each. Spiral galaxies have younger populations of stars and are bluish. Mysterious-looking arcs of blue light are distorted images of remote galaxies behind the cluster. The cluster acts as a huge lens in space that magnifies and stretches images of background galaxies like a funhouse mirror.

Monkeys are common to be spotted in the streets of Rishikesh. This image was captured during my stay at Into The Unknown Hostel near Laxhman Jhula, Rishikesh. It was ironic, because the painting below the fencing ‘Monkey Crossing’, was painted the same day I captured this image.

Because of signalling problems at Loughborough the Gala timetable had to be quickly updated & this shot is of one of the re-arranged trains. It also meant we spent longer than expected in the sidings which was fine because we had a grandstand view!

Northern Gannet, an incredible bird with superpowers. Gannets hunt fish by diving into the sea from a height and pursuing their prey underwater, and have a number of adaptations:
They have no external nostrils; they are located inside the mouth, instead.
They have air sacs in the face and chest under the skin, which act like bubble wrap, cushioning the impact with the water.
The position of their eyes is far enough forward on the face for binocular vision, allowing them to judge distances accurately.
Gannets can dive from a height of 30 m (100 ft), achieving speeds of 100 km/h (60 mph) as they strike the water, enabling them to catch fish at a much greater depth than most airborne birds.
The gannet's supposed capacity for eating large quantities of fish has led to "gannet" becoming a description of somebody with a voracious appetite. (Wikipedia)
I was going to drop a few beautiful facts about one of my favourite comic book characters Black Canary today... but DC isn't exactly known for their clean continuity, and as a character first introduced in 1947 (Flash Comics #86) she's been revamped a lot.
So, if you've never heard of Black Canary before; she sometimes has superpowers - A Canary Cry - and sometimes not. She's sometimes Dinah Drake, or her daughter Dinah Lance, or her mother in her daughters body. she's sometimes romantically entangled with Green Arrow, and sometimes not. And perhaps a venn diagram would have been an easier way to describe it.
However, the one depicted here is clearly a reference to the version appearing in the 80's, as many of the current CMF minifigs are. Which would make her Dinah Lance, better half to Green Arrow, and possesing the Canary Cry superpower, and member of the JLA.
Hopefully the next minifig is easy to explain? Hah?

Sometimes, I can almost feel Aaron with me. I have woken up once or twice to find myself sleepily saying good morning to him on my empty pillow. When I'm walking home at night, I leave an Aaron-sized space next to me on the pavement, and sometimes I swear I can feel his hand in mine. I think perhaps all the being apart from him is playing with my mind, but its comforting anyway. We are counting down until we are back together - not long now at all!
This shoot was fun - no creepy stalkers following me into the woods this time! I balanced my tripod/camera on a cliff edge - it was so windy though, I was terrified it would topple off and die. But no fear, my camera has superpowers and my tripod legs of steel, and it made it through! Hope you guys like it.
The Seven Deadly Sins of Dental Hygiene from my client shoot today are posted up on mine and Aaron's blog! The shoot was so much fun, Ed is hysterical and such a great model!
