The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen on Mono Lake. The colours were amazing. So vivid and changing all the time. This was the last of the reds as the sun disappeared.
The lake has no sea outlet. Dissolved salts in the runoff remains in the lake and raise the water's pH levels and salt concentration. Tufa columns (limestone) are formed and are part of the interesting landscape of Mono Lake
A large sun setting over that bridge tower. Is the sun size too big in scale?

Last monday I was heading for Zoutkamp and came across this scene. You can still see a little glimpse of the sun.

Industrial Sunset
A sunset over the Fawley Oil Refinery. The flames from the tall chimneys are where impurities are burnt off as part of the processing.
The puff or orange flame, about a third in from the left indicates when that happens.
The dozens of various chimneys hint at the complexity of the operations and processes at the Refinery.
Emissions are very strictly controlled from the Refinery as it is on the edge of the New Forest National Park.

Nothing can beat the smell of dew and flowers and odour that comes out of the earth when the sun goes down. (Ethel Waters)

Additional info after being explored:
Thanks all for comments and faves on my first explore since I came here!
The shot is made back in 2008 when I was 14 years old. In those times I took shots because of my dad who also took shots.
The camera I used was a €60 pocket camera, you could buy at the "Aldi" supermarket, and my first digital stuff.
So it's quite funny to me that this shot makes my first explore although it is my only non-Nikon or Lumix shot.
