Sunset, looking over Mellieha Bay towards the main Mellieha / Ghadira Bay beach, and the hills beyond. St Agatha’s Tower, a large bastioned watchtower also known as the Red Tower, is silhouetted on the crest of the hills. Taken with. Sony A7 111 at 8pm on 15th July 2024, ISO 160, f/10, 1/200s.

My little point-and-shoot has a "sunset" mode that seems to take particularly vivid photos. I've posted other photos of this sunset before -- it was a good one! Though the mosquitoes were FIERCE!

We've had some fabulous East Anglian sunsets in the past few days. Friday's was spectacular, though I was on a train with dirty windows. A couple of those shots will be appearing soon. These three are from Sunday evening, journeying back from Bury St Edmunds to Norwich.
Canon 50D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. ISO200, F/8.0, 13 mm, 1/400 sec. Filters used: Cokin Z121S-GND8. Removed the Tobacco filter from my previous post.

My second in the series of last nights sunset, to show what a difference 5 minutes can make! The reds took over the sky and the waves started coming in a bit faster, all beginning to change the scene. I love seascape photography for many reasons, mainly as you can make of it what you will using your creativity combined with the conditions nature gives you.

Manarola Sunset Series - Five
Positioned to watch the Manarola sunset light show as the sun paints the Cinque Terre village with vibrant, warm color before disappearing over the horizon into the Ligurian Sea and leaving the most spectacular blue skies imaginable~! This was an evening well spent and unlikely to be soon forgotten.
