Just processing my sunset pics from last night...I was disappointed with them visually but managed to capture some sunspot activity on there...now I'm not a sun observer, as you know ...but was slightly excited by this capture!!

Magical sunsets five days in a row... it was an amazing run. After that, the sunsets took a break for a few days, and I have some business to attend to so I'll be taking a short flickr break as well.... I'll have more September sunsets when I return...

Gotta see this large - it is a panorama.
It was quite an amazing sky tonight. I didn't have a great vantage point to shoot it in terms of foregound elements so I figured why not double my pleasure with the flood filter.
Two-shot panorama tonemapped and canvas extended vertically for the flood.

at our journey from Yosemite National Park to Sequoia National Park, we stayed overnight at the greatly located Millerton Lake State Recration campground and enjoyed the landscape around this artificial lake and took a refreshing bath before admiring a nice sunset.

This was taken in Fort Myers Beach Florida. The sun was setting in the opposite direction of where I shot this, but the sky to the East was aglow in wonderful shades of pink and gold. Sometimes you have to turn around or you will miss something great.
Sunset taken from Mudeford, around 10 minutes after sunset and 5 minutes after my last Mudeford sunset..
