While our regular camera is visiting England with a friend, I pressed the camcorder into service and took a few shots. This was a wonderfully dramatic sunset, captured out the window as we drove through the Texas hill country a couple of days before Christmas.

Another beautiful sunset captured on my way back from work. Not a HDR image, but my camera handles contrasts pretty good. Cropped in photoshop to get the horizon straight.
I made this sunset capture in mid-August at the fabulous Hawksworth Farm in Easton, Maryland while down for a visit. Across the Miles River, an arm of the Chesapeake Bay,
lies a spit of land housing the town of St. Michaels.

It rained for much of today in the Phoenix area, but the sun broke through the clouds just at the right time, and I was fortunate enough to have my camera with me then. But I was not fortunate enough to have a good viewpoint from which to take pictures of this, the best sunset I had seen in several months. I had to point the camera over some buildings and other distractions in a nearby shopping center, but managed to come up with this -- not my best image, perhaps, but good enough to post, and certainly good enough to prove that I am still in the sunset-capturing business, notwithstanding the recent distractions provided by ballroom dancing and my friend Amanda.
