Hollywood, CA. We spent 5 days at Sunset, capturing live drums, organ,

and some bass! The next few photos will give you a lil peek inside!

An interesting piece of farm machinery on North Meadow, just as the sun hit the horizon. Probably my favourite sunset capture yet

Sunset captured tonight (5-1-2021)

Sunset captured from my house common corridor at the rubbish chute area.

Yesterday I went with some friends to visit Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, off the Northumberland Coast. The weather may have been grey for the most of it, which made for some excellent moody photos over Holy Island Beach towards the castle.

This one was taken about half an hour after my Ile aux Tourte Brige Sunset Capture.

It was on the south side of the bridge. I love the Gateway feeling the rusted concrete gives.

Enjoy Sunset View together. She is in front of me. So, she makes my photo not boring. That's can make her silhouette. Amazing Sunset! 💜💜

These three works are composite images. The foreground layer (MLK Jr. Memorial) were captured with my Canon T7i recently. The light on the stone was a great orange shade from the setting sun but the background was unremarkable. I took a sunset image I took with my Sony a6000 last fall along the Georgetown Waterfront, and replaced the boring background with those sunset shots. The lighting lines up since the sunset captured was in the direction it would logically have been if you could see it in the background of these shots of the memorial.

Looking through my old pictures, I love this shot of the long grass at Llanddwyn Beach. It looks so peaceful.

These 3 images show the scope of sunset capture and the range of the 17-85mm lens of the Canon 20D.

I captured on October 30, 2025 a nice image of the recent bright comet, C/2025 A6 Lemmon. Most comets are really dirty iceballs from the outer reaches of the solar system, called the Oort Cloud. The Oort cloud contains many thousands of such dirty iceballs on very long elliptical orbits to our Sun. This comet (A6 Lemmon) will revisit the inner solar system only after 1350 years. This comet, like many others, has a distinctive green color because of emissions from Diatomic Carbon (C2).

The comet will be visible in the evening in western skies after Sunset until Nov 6-7. It will be moving closer and closer to the setting Sun as days go by, so it becomes harder to see because of the twilight after sunset.

Capture details : I used our Stellarvue 80mm refracting telescope on an Equatorial mount and used Nikon D5500 DLSR at 10 second exposure. I took many such exposures and digitally added them to reduce noise & light pollution and to brighten up the comet. Here is my final image. Enjoy!

Diavolezza Station in Switzerland awakes with a spectacular sunset captured from a drone.

The last Friday appointment done, I decided to make a run for the SF bay area to snap a few sunset captures. Weather forecast for the weekend did not look good, so Friday seemed the best day to go. We arrived at my lookout point high above in the east bay and I quickly noticed fog has enveloped parts of San Francisco, but the Golden Gate area was still under sunshine. It's 6 PM and I still can make it to the Marin Headlands coming from the north on US-101, so I thought. Traffic looked bad when we hit I-80 east, so took the next exit and headed west towards the bay bridge. We crossed into San Francisco in no time but traffic off of the bridge was very slow, duh!!! It's Friday afternoon, what was I thnking. I'll never make it to the Marin Headlands in time, so headed for the Embarcadero, parked, grabbed the camera and started walking.

Sunset captured at the river camel estuary just outside of Padstow.

Comet Neowise, discovered in March 2020, paid Earth a visit through most of July of the same year and was easily visible to the naked eye jut above the horizon after sunset. Capturing a composed photo of it wasn't as easy as anticipated, as it moved across the sky far quicker than expected. It didn't help that it also rather confusingly moved from left to right since the "motion" we were seeing was actually us moving on the surface of the Earth, and not the comets own velocity.

The lack of much light pollution and clouds gave us a good opportunity to get some photos, and Fulbourn Windmill proved to be a good model.

A time laps sunset captured from Elephant mountain looking down into Taipei (including Taipei 101).

My first attempt at something like this.

My only advice: when on a mountain in Asia, at night, in summer, and standing in the same spot for 2 hours...

A sunset captured along the Seine during the summer of 2013.

Let me take you for a nice stroll along the river Seine. You can feel a light breeze along your neck as the sun is glistening on your face. Tourists pass you by occasionally, some wearing white and purple shirts with an illustration of the Eiffeltower and the text 'I love Paris'. A motorised boat can be heard over the faint sounds of clutching water while you are surrounded by buildings that display how magnificent architecture can be. Peace and relaxation sets in as you forget all of your worries to make room for a thing called Paris.

Early summer sunset captured out at "the spot". I have the tendency to revisit and upload older shots that I didn't deem worthy when they were first taken.

I'm not sure why this one was originally left on the cutting room floor.

The title is simply because I had Tom Waits' song of the same name stuck in my head while processing this.

A beautiful sunset captured in the city of Peruíbe, south coast of my state, São Paulo.

Eindelijk een mooie zonsondergang! Het was al een paar dagen mooi weer, maar door andere bezigheden kon ik steeds niet op het juiste moment fotograferen.

Finally a nice sunset captured! Have been trying for a couple of days, but couldn't be at the right time at the right time due to work and other stuff.
