Past 2 weeks have had the most beautiful sunsets. This one set behind these old Poplar trees. The fresh snow in the foreground was great contrast.

Sunset - Spot the Jet Plane

Driving home last night I caught a glimpse of this through the roadside hedge. I parked in someone's drive, and went back to a gate, and watched and clicked, from the highest place in the Chilterns.

When the sun had gone, I thought I might still get a glimpse from my lay by overlooking the Vale. (See below)

Winter is such a great time from this perspective with the direction of the sunset across Middle River. Looking forward to that time again and the colorful sunsets that can occur.

How to be in the right place at the right time more often? Luck! Jordan Lake in NC. SOOC (Straight Out of the Camera). Increasing the exposure helped for this shot.

I wish there had been a few high clouds, and snow on the peaks, but oh well, it could have been a lot worse.

Great location Godrevy, I never tire of the place. This was one of those evenings when you wait, and wait, hoping the sky will light up.........thankfully it did !!! Have a great weekend.
