Stop by at this spot called 'Senggigi Beach' for sunset shooting. The tide was rising very quickly and I had fun capturing the waves flowing by using a slower shutter speed of 0.4s.
But to get this shot I had to go quite a low angle and very close to the wave. And the result has gotten me soaked couple of times! Good thing is, I do get the shots I wanted. So, its all worth it I guess. :)

The sun is shining now but about an hour ago we had enormous claps of thunder followed by an enormous rain storm. It feels a bit symbolic of what is going on in the world around us.

Weather is really bad this year... Very little nice weekends to go hiking... Occasionally we get treated to few hours of sun when clouds break... Just enough to go for a quick walk.. So more sunsets.... :-)))

I heard that this tree was planted over a hundred years ago by farmers to provide a shady spot for breaks while farming.

I took these out of the upstairs, side window of the parental mansion while I was home for Christmas. I've snapped the towers of Saint Mary's (the square, red stone, Neo-Gothic) and Saint David's (the more slender bell tower) before, but at the end of this December day the last half hour of light brought some beautiful, golden light, which bathed the towers, so I made use of the decent zoom on the camera to take a few pics, with the Campsie Fells in the background.
