Winter sunsets along the California Coast can sometimes be spectacular, as this one was. This image was captured from an observation point above the beach in northern Ventura County approximately twenty miles north of the City of Ventura

Post sunset colors on Anna Maria Island, FL. I loved how the sand appeared to have purplish-pink hues.

Was lucky enough to be let out of work early enough to race to Porthcawl to catch the amazing sunset. This was taken on the edge of a rather large rock pool.
Unfortunately messed up exposing for the shadows and not sure I can do any post processing to fix!

Another HDR photo attempt from a trip to Crater Lake last fall. I was simply amazed at the colors and subtle variations of contrast in the wispy clouds during the sunset. I tried to capture their nuances by HDR’ing a shot (actually a series of four shots), but it is still lacking in the “feel” of that awesome sky… but then they do say that only God can make a sunset :)

diesen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang durfte ich am Donnerstag in St. Peter Ording erleben.
Wir waren so versunken ins fotografieren, dass wir das steigende Wasser gar nicht richtig mitbekamen... und eine Weile später feststellen mussten, dass wir nicht mehr trockenen Fußes ans Ufer kamen
also hieß es Schuhe u Socken aus, Hosen bis übers Knie hochkrempeln und rein ins kalte Nordseewasser... brrr...

We went lost in photograph and don`t realize the flow...
after a while we had to realized that we can`t reach dry-shod the shore.. so we must undressed the shoes and socks and go through the cold, cold water... brrr...
