Taken from the top of Cadillac Mountain during a family trip to Acadia National Park in Maine. I wanted the photo to have more of a dreamy look and edited in lightroom with a feel of film, adding some grain.
My dad would have been 87 today. I think he might have just sent this to me from the other side... Thanks Dad :-))
Santiago, Chile must be one of the few places where you can climb a 1600m.a.s.m.l. hill placed in the middle of the capital, have a 7º Richter earthquake at the top and enjoy of a sunset reflected in the mountains in the the same evening haha. Greetings from Chile!

Have fun and go nature, go raw!
Our family took a trip to the Astoria, OR area for long weekend. Fortunately, we had a couple of very nice sunsets. This one is at Arcadia Beach, a couple miles south of its famous neighbor, Cannon Beach. The visitors were few and the sunset was gorgeous.

After more than four years I finally returned to Praia da Adraga. One of my favourite beaches. It has changed a lot. Where I was taking this photo there was roughly 1-2 meters more sand four years ago. In the background to the left you see rocks which weren't there back then. This offered a lot new compositional opportunities. But this beach doesn't only change over the years. It changes within days. I went there four times and some rocks were gone again since the tide had brought new sand.
Photographing this beach was a real joy, especially with such great light. I took around 50 photos until I got the perfect wave for the foreground. You really have to ram your tripod deep into the sand for such scenes where the water washes around it, then it will be rock solid and you can camp on such compositions until all fits together. I just had to be carefull and watch for the occasional rogue wave ;-)
I spent several days in Nicaragua in early February. While at Montelimar Beach Resort, I made an effort to capture the sunset each night. On this night we had a very dramatic sky.

This is more of a test in processing. I did some different things in JPEG, and I'm just checking to see how they look.
I leave you today with this photograph of my series on last August, an intense sunset in Pont d'en Gil, a spectacular natural bridge by the sea on a rocky breakwater on the cliffs of northern Menorca.
They were about five minutes in which the orange flooded everything, creating an incredible atmosphere.
On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Tuesday. :)

I've arrived in my new home in northwestern Ontario. This is the lake that the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen is near. It was a lovely sunset yesterday, just as I arrived, and tonight's (this one) was also lovely. This is a combination of two shots so as to show some detail on the shore. There's a little weird effect going on with the reflected sun near shore, so I may redo this.
Love my new home so far. School starts Tuesday.
A welcomed photo bomb at sunset
