Sunlight:
The sun is used as a general tonic to heal almost everything.Sun is the source of energy for all plants, and indirectly, for all animals. The tender sunlight in morning time will fill you up with energy for all day long.
Crazy enough, there was a CD right next to my window. The sunlight hit it just so that this rainbow was projected onto the ceiling and walls of my room.
A tiny Coreopsis leavenworthii blossom iluminated by the incoming sunlight of a February morning. This blossom is about 20mm across. Upon close inspection, no two flowers of this species appear exactly alike.
Put on those shades
And wave to yesterday
The sunlight hurts my eyes ♫
#228. I love the hope in these lyrics.
Sunlight, by the Plain White Ts
When the storm won't end
On your raging sea
When you've all but given up
Float back to me
When the waves come down
And your arms get weak
When you're tired of bailing out
Float back to me
'cause I can see sunlight
Through my window
If you open your eyes you'll
Find your way back home
Very often I am faced with the dilemma of taking a shot into the sun or not when I shoot at Steamer Lane here in Santa Cruz. The sun rises in the east so it is in your face if you stand at the railing near the lighthouse. I was using the longer lens and a tripod so I decided to shoot anyway and take pictures regardless. The result was a very graphic looking photo that still represents the feel of the wave but lacks any color or detail in some areas. I even removed the color in several since they lacked any real usable color anyway.
The surf was small during the O'Neil Coldwater Classic and true to past years erupted two days later as a clean eight foot swell on a clear and sunny day. The curse continues on and will give the promoters trouble as long as they try to squeeze it in on some man made schedule. They need to change the format to allow for days of bad surf and they could have finished with this swell no more than two days later.
