The pretty America 2.0, the Adirondack III, the Western Union, the Appledore, the Jolly Rover II and many other tall ships are credited with helping to keep Key West's maritime traditions alive for years
to come. Always a joy to see skimming across Key West Harbor.

Digital cameras were finally becoming available to the public at high but still fairly affordable prices. A whole new world opened up for those of us who had a secret side to document! I borrowed a camera from a friend and convinced my wife to let me shave all my body and spend a weekend taking the first ever digital photos of Cristy. At the time, I did not have any intentions of sharing them with the world.
This was the first time I shaved my legs and chest since 1988 and my first attempt at producing a taped cleavage. It really worked but, big mistake, I used duct tape!!!!! You can imagine the consequences!
I was yet to discover the big difference that a nice smile can do to your feminine appearance; something I still recommend to every girl that does not show teeth in her photos. Being young-er, I was able to get away with it and still look ok, unlike today :)
Another factor that I realized I had to take care of was avoiding the farmer's tan. I wore short-sleeved shirts to work every day and still did for some time but started putting sunblock on my arms to reduce the effect. I then went for long-sleeved shirts for work and on weekends I would put sunblock to prevent the tan lines from being too noticeable. Another thing I do today, whenever i go to the beach, is put sunblock from the elbow down and tanning lotion from the elbow up to compensate when there is a noticeable line.
TGirls today do not realize how hard it was for those of us, back then, to break ground and even harder for those before us. Thank God for digital cameras and the Internet!

A friend applying some sunscreen. It is so important to use sun-screen or sunblock when you are down at the beach! I was using a Spf 30,myself and ended up getting burnt anyway! I had to take some Advil and I applied Aloe Vera 3 times ,before I went to bed that night! Be careful and be safe!

About three years ago I was invited to open an account here by a very talented friend from fotolog site, Lily-* lotusgreen* and i started my photostream on Flickr posting a picture of Burma. Without any doubt, it has marked the beginning of an amazing relationship with Flickr’s community. But, today i’m feeling so sad and I don't have any desire to celebrate. I only have one wish in mind... “Freedom for Burma, 45 years of military dictatorship is enough!” - “Freedom and dignity for the next generation of Burma!”

Vacationing in the city of Malang is fun many tourist attractions that dot the coast of the city, which made me always want to come visit. How beautifully the atmosphere of the beach when the mind exhausted by a tedious activity and saturate.
As such Ngliyep Coast basin live in heaven with white sand beaches stretching on the edge. Ngliyep beach located in the district Donomulyo, 62 km south of the city of Malang is cool and offers panoramic views no less beautiful beach with a beach that is outside the country. Why do we have to be out the way the island or out of the country just to enjoy the beaches clean and beautiful.
Ngliyep beach located on Ocean Indonesia presents its white sand and the waves roaring successive solving atmosphere when night falls. Sunbathing on the white sand that makes me more freedom of expression and is not a lot of local and foreign tourists who vacation at the beach.
He said every 14 months Maulud in the Javanese calendar, which means that a ceremony was held Labuhan give offerings to the sea that gives meaning to words of gratitude to God Almighty, and say your prayers. During the ceremony there was the presentation of the sacrifice of a goat's head to Queen of the South Sea.
The atmosphere is quiet shore Ngliyep as if I belong to a private beach since no one came because it was a weekday, deliberately seek time and the right place just for a photo shoot. If you take time off obviously I can not take the atmosphere of the beach is really quiet and clean.
Many board writing reads "No bathing or swimming at the beach" because the waves are known to be very strong, the writing is intentionally placed several large trees to remind the visitors who do not know Ngliyep shore wave conditions are known for the strong flow of the waves.
Actually I had no plans to get out of town hunting, because it coincided with the show's nephew's fiance so rather than return home, while still a long time. So I decided to go out of town without a planned schedule while driving a car on the way crossed my thinking "why not try to come on shore Ngliyep!"
Me and my husband finally agreed to go to Malang is Ngliyep beach destination. Until midnight Ngliyep shore and a gate or portal commonly guarded by puller tickets are gone, but the gates remain open portal so I went straight in without paying.
Amid the darkness of the night I kept going without stopping because of his wish to get some rest, not long distant visible light was still on from the couple of stalls that were open they might be open 24 hours to serve the fishermen who deliberately seek the warmth of a cup of coffee.
I got out of the car and went to a shop to ask for a resort or a cottage, just off an old man hurriedly put the holster. With a polite tone father showed towards the inn, and he said "there will be a guard there!" The father thanked me directly step the gas and spinning reverse direction.
In front of the inn or cottage room there is a guard with a middle-aged father carrying a flashlight. My husband got out of the car asking rent, and the father of one of the guards show room condition.
After my husband asked at length, he returned to the car and told me that her room was 75 thousand a room rate .... "Wowww that great!" I said suspiciously. Return my husband told me that his room was no electricity just using candles ...... "Oh my God!" Replied again limp. But because of the time it's late and I'm exhausted in the course inevitably end we checked.
I came to the beach Ngliyep did not seek luxury inn but find beautiful panoramas on the site that made me put aside the things that are not worth it. I'm just thankful there are still places inn to rest, if I'm going back to see people taking pictures in the middle of Caucasians in the woods and spend months or even years old in the woods just to the documentation without adequate facilities such as home stay , cottage or something else.
Morning has come up before and the sun was setting I hurried east on the horizon camera gear and a tripod. I was barefoot and carrying camera gear while husband set its mode to be re-used to suit the shooting, traveling on the sand I kept scratching my legs because the itching was unbearable but I let it because it is more fun to take pictures.
And soon I saw my husband's leg bumps, small red bumps, I will quickly see the condition of my feet were the same, the locals named the animal " Cireng " a kind of little critters like mosquitoes. Granted we did not prepare equipment for skin, usually when there is a plan to shore would certainly supplies like sunblock or sunscreen is always ready. Until back former home in a few days bumps, small red bumps are still there up to 7 days dissipate diligently giving lotion for skin care every day.
But I really enjoyed it and so many wonderful memories in that place. Life so beautiful if we can to understand many things in this world.

On Saturday we visited a nice little restored area nestled among an otherwise urban part of St. Paul. When we arrived and were still at our car putting on sunblock and such, a bolt of lighting came out of nowhere and seemed to strike somewhere maybe less than an 1/8th of a mile from us! I saw the insanely bright flash out of the corner of my eye, and before I had a chance to exclaim to my wife "wow, that was close," a sound equal to the loudest explosion I've ever heard, literally made me jump up and backward. We both quickly got back in the car and were expressing our surprise to one another with profanity-laced disbelief. It was by far and away the closest either of us had been to an actual bolt of lightning before. So we put our short hike on hold for the time being and waited. Within 5 minutes however, the sun was shining and the storm was moving away. We hiked safely for the next hour or so until the sky once again turned ominous and dark. It was around this time I snapped a photo of this native Hoary Vervain, getting low to the ground so I could include the darkening blue sky in the background. Ramsey County, MN 07/223/22

This day I decided to go to the beach at Ramla Bay, about 20 minutes away by bus from my hotel. The route included a lot of mountainous hairpin turns that made me anxious.
Once there, the beach was wonderful! I had a burger at the little beach shack (they call them beef burgers on Malta, not hamburgers), and lazed in sun and water for a couple hours. I didn't have a book or an umbrella or sunblock (!), and I ended up leaving after two hours, but with no regrets.

When I came home from nightshift at 7am, sun was just up and shining in my window, so before I drew the sunblocking curtains and went to sleep I snapped this self-portrait. I like how my hair and eyelashes are catching the sun.
We decided to take a chance on the weather and visit the Alfreshco Express. Pack a brolley and the clouds disappear. Pack sunblock and the skies open up...

Mon Bridge in Sangkhlaburi
Sangkhlaburi's iconic, 447m-long wooden bridge, the largest in Thailand, connects the main town, home mostly to Thai and Karen, with the Mon settlement. This village (officially it's Ban Wang Ka, but even residents just call it Ban Mon: 'Mon Village') is a striking place to explore, peopled by cheroot-smoking women, sarong-wearing men and faces covered in thanaka (a yellow paste made from tree bark, used both as sunblock and decoration).
At the Mon end of the bridge is a souvenir market selling Karen shirts and dresses among other things. Follow the street uphill from the bridge and turn left on the main road to visit the Mon market, which is refreshingly free of souvenirs.
Giving morning alms to monks (at 6.30am) is a big event on the Mon side of the bridge. Tourists (mostly from Bangkok) donate from fancy trays alongside locals who stick to the Mon tradition of giving just a scoop of rice. During Buddhist festivals alms are offered on the bridge.
