I've started taking my camera to work, recently, and my work is at the California Institute of Technology, where I work as a Summer Research Assistant for the SHArK Project. I help write software that drives our data acquisition systems.

This picture was taken at Caltech's Throop Memorial Garden (see this photo). One of the ponds contains a multitude of turtles (specifically, red-eared sliders) and koi fish. The turtles love sunbathing, so when the sun's out, there will be sometimes hundreds of turtles lining the pond soaking up the sun. Of course, they all scurry away if you come to close, but this one was brave enough to let me take a picture of it.

For this photo, I used my new 52mm UV Protector and Circular Polarizer filters. I'm pretty pleased with how they work.
