E io lì a sbavarle dietro, manco fosse stata la donna più bella del mondo che si prendeva il sole completamente nuda!
And I was standing there, starving at her, like if she was the most beautiful woman in the world sunbathing totally naked!
the sun may be out, but that doesn't mean it's warm! So sunbathing on the beach in Scotland looks a little different from how it does in other countries...
It was really sunny and kind of warm today. As I was walking the dogs down Janssen Street I noticed this sparrow sunbathing on a front porch. Life is good.
A young blackbird soaking up the hot sunshine. I was once told it was to rid themselves of fleas. Any ideas?
Peter Laszio Peri’s “The Sunbathers” was origionally created for the Festival of Britain in 1951, but was thought to be lost forever. In 2016, after a call by Historic England for lost public art work, it was rediscovered in the garden of a hotel in Blackheath, London. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, the Sunbathers was restored and returned to public display just a stones throw from where the figuress originally greeted fesdtival goers in 1951,
An émigré to England in 1933 from Nazi occupied Germany, Peri was known for his public sculptures which became symbols of post war hope. He modelled the Sunbathers in situ at the Festival site from pericrete, a unique material he invented as a cheaper alternative to bronze.
The sculpture was originally designed to be viewed from above.
The first time I saw so many crabs on the beach ....:)
