It's another 100 degree day here in sunny Pleasanton (mid-May - pah) so I thought I'd enjoy the garden this morning before it got too hot. This sunbathing squirrel had clearly spotted me but was staying put as I slowly edged closer...
I typically upload in small sets - don't just look at the latest one in my photostream as you might be missing something you'll like more.... and your comments are ALWAYS welcome :)

Sunbathing Blackbird
Brrrrrrrrrrr! It's May, it's Springtime, but it feels more like autumn!
I caught this newly-fledged blackbird chick enjoying a brief glimpse of the Cornish sun on Monday.
The second infinity pool at Maya Ubud, which faces the Petanu river & the riverside spa area. The vantage point of those sunbathing would be the pool water flowing directly into the Petanu river underneath.
The River Cafe at the top of the pool offers a healthy selection of food with a mediterranean accent.
Monck had his beach towel laid out on 'his sunbed' (the garden table) first thing this morning, I guess it's true what they say about German's bagging all the sunbeds, lol. He loves sunbathing on there. At one point he came in for a drink and Mac jumped up there, when Monck went outside and saw him he grabbed the edge of the towel in his teeth and tried to pull it off, lol.
Scruffy young Robin spreading its wings in the sun. This was right in front of us as we sat in the garden. I think this bird feels safe with us about.
Sunbathers on Labadee beach
On the north coast of Hispaniola, surrounded by beautiful mountain slopes and exotic foliage, sits Labadee®, Royal Caribbean's private paradise. This exclusive destination offers pristine beaches, breathtaking scenery and spectacular water activities. Labadee's native charm, along with its natural beauty, make this a destination not to be missed

Went with my buddy Steve today to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. We drove the Black Point Wildlife Drive which is a 7 mile driving "hike" of natural Florida wetlands. All of this is in the foreground of NASA's Cape Canaveral launch facilities.
This guy was about 20 or so feet from the side of the road separated from me by a ditch of water. I could *probably* have gotten away if he decided to eat me.
Aside from me and Summer, this was the only other person in all of NYC that recognized what awesome weather we were experiencing. Every other New Yorker was bundled up like it was winter.
If you ask me, this chick needs to lay off the sunbathing.

Isn't it lovely creature <3 :D
I hope you are relaxed like him (or her.. I'm not sure) at the last day of the week and be ready for tomorrow !
I took this photo at a small harbour town called Goolwa, just out of Adelaide. My sister and I sneaked across some barriers to take this photo. I was grateful these sunbathing seals helped to create perfect photographic symmetry.
