Morocco January 2014. Went to visit my grandma in Essauouira for the 2nd time since she moved there. Had a great time!
There I was sunbathing on the rocks and along comes Willie and splashes me the Tinker. Now I will have to take my clothes of. Good jobs its warm and sunny Winks!
Ericbronson saw this Crowned Pigeon lying on the floor and he thought it was injured.
We realised that it was enjoying its sunbathing only when it got up and walk away.

The Plain of Vic (Catalan Plana de Vic) is a 30 km long depression located at the eastern end of the Catalan Central Depression in the Osona comarca. It is named after the town of Vic, an important and ancient urban center in this natural region that lies in the midst of the plain. Other significant towns in the plain are Manlleu and Tona.
This natural depression carved by river Ter and its tributaries is longer than it is wide and stretches in a N / S direction. It is completely surrounded by mountains: The Sub-Pyrenees, with Bellmunt mountain towering in the north, the Lluçanès and Moianès high plateaus in the West, the Montseny in the southeast and the Guilleries, located at the apex of the Catalan Transversal Range and the Pre-Coastal Range, in the east.

Today it was just above freezing point when I went out to make a Sunday stroll. While it was cold and most of the time cloudy, sometimes the sun provided some entertainment. At one of those occasions I was near these mushrooms large and small, up close and far away.
It was a cold wet week, so the one warm day brought everybody out to enjoy the sun. I just love how they stretch out their back toes and neck to expose every bit they can.

This juvenile decided to do a bit of sunbathing while waiting for mum to come with food. I noticed this youngster had already been ringed and tagged probably while he was still in the nest. Meanwhile another youngster was using a ledge on the same wall to have a little sleep while waiting his turn for food from mum.
