Sunbathing Trio, Turtles - Three species of turtles, sunning together in the warmest part of the afternoon in January. Rio Salado Riparian Habitat, downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Fourth image of a series of four.
This part of the garden was a popular sunbathing spot for birds - not just this robin, also a jay, dunnock and blackbird fluffed out their feathers and soaked in the warmth.
Too hot for me, I stayed in the shade under a parasol!
I came upon these pretty flowers while meandering through the Adriana Hess Wetland Park earlier this evening. Their faces were turned toward the sun, soaking up the nourishing rays :-)
Taken in University Place Washington, USA
According to Scout this had been added to Explore on May 9th, 2007....then out, lol ;-)
Thank you all for viewing!!

As the sun came out, this Blackbird just laid on the path and had a few minutes of hot sun.
I think he enjoyed it.
Diana F+ / Shanghai GP3 film
It's been a while since GP3's been available again after a long hiatus and it's as good (some would say bad) as always. I personally like the film for the kind of pictures I like to shoot, even when it's bad. And if you happen to find the bad badge, it can be REAL bad. When you pick the good one, what you have is a so-so black and white film, with very shitty latitude and (with the normal process I use to develop my rolls in HP110) very contrasty even with a honest to God plastic meniscus lens. The thing is that it feels like cracking a melon open; you can't tell what it's gonna be till you have developed a couple rolls, but, who cares; I love it either way.
This is Snowball - she seems to be doing fine and her mother is taking good care of her. Could be a him but she's just so cute!
This is a new Gazania we're growing in the greenhouse this year. It's different from the typical Gazania in that it doesn't open and close in response to the sun ... It stopped me in my tracks today when i saw it had bloomed :)) No alterations - this is its true color - I predict we're going to run out of these ;))

Thank you Talent Showcase Group for the picture of the day honor March 20, 2010 :))
Another otter photo from a recent trip to ZSL London Zoo. This guy is an Asian Short-clawed Otter.
Hope you enjoy.
