1958 Lecia M2 with Leica Summarit-M 2.5/35mm on Kodak Tri-X 400 at box speed in Photographers Formulary divided D-76 for 5 mins A, 5 mins B.

New lens! I shoot almost exclusively with my 35mm lens on the M2 (sometimes use the fabulous 15mm Heliar, though). So I don't have a lot of investment in other lenses. After about 5 years with my trusty and excellent first generation screw mount Voigtlander Color-Skopar, I've upgraded to a Summarit-M 2.5/35mm. I looked closely at other lenses, and tried a few. The Summarit-M has the perfect combination of being small, easy to use, and with outstanding optics. I got a screaming good deal on this lens which was advertised as being a display model but was in fact completely new in the unopened box.

What better to introduce the new lens with than a car shot!

This is also my first roll through divided D-76. I'm a fan of two bath developers and hadn't tried this one yet. Very pleased so far.

Strawberry Hill beach has large rocks strewn off the coastline that always attracts seals and sea lions. I've been going there for over 30 years and there's always sea lions laying out on the rocks. This was a beautiful sunny day just perfect day for soaking up some rays.

Terry's shot

This was one of the first shots I ever took of Kambula. This was the day that I fell in love with him.

I miss you Bula!!

I did go back to the zoo this Sunday.

Seeing Carrie his keeper made me feel much better. He spent his last days very happy.

RIP my dear friend Kambula.

You will be missed!

In dedication to Kambula I have created a video dedicated to him. It is from the

hundreds of photos and hours that I have spent with him.

Please view it!
