She is such a unique beauty.

I'm becoming very fond of Sun.

She's the kind of girl that slowly creeps up on you. You don't realise how much you adore her, until you try to imagine life without her.

The sun fighting through the fog early in the morning.

There is a massive wildfire in the foothills, on the way home we marvelled at the red sun and smoke.

I was along on the beach taking sunset photos until this woman stopped by and began praising the great yellow orb... who was I to argue?

Sunset over the Thai highlands

I was prepared for clouds, mist, and cool wind. Not prepared for sun, sun, and more sun. Parts of me are as red as a boiled octopus.

Every sunset is the promise for a new dawn, a new beginning.

The Sun.

Friday morning going to work - for just 15 minutes a small patch of the sky burned an incredilble red, then it was just the usual low grey clouds......

Tinto Hill (Hill of Fire)

The peak is normally called "Tinto Tap", with the name Tinto possibly deriving from the Scottish Gaelic word teinnteach, meaning "fiery". Tinto Hill has long been associated with fire and fire festivals. Indeed it was suggested that the name Tinto meant 'the hill of fire'. Its associations with fire were thought to have originated in pagan ceremonies, including Beltane fires. It was also one of the sites at which beacons were to be lit in the event of invasion.

Tinto also featured in popular legend. In the words of the 'Imperial Gazetteer'; 'the fame of the top of Tinto was also embalmed long ago, and continues to be well preserved, in several sets of curious popular rhymes – all, however, so destitute of point or beauty as to give us no temptation to quote them.'

The more mundane origin of the name could be with the sun set reflecting on the Felsite rock to give a red fire like appearance to the hillside.
