Below the Sun storage arrays, above those by IBM.

The sun was hidden briefly by these two clouds at the apartment complex where my wife and I live.

Check out the cool refraction on the bottom left. Strange things happen during solar eclipses.

“Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be...Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you'll live as you've never lived before.”- Erich Fromm

So it's dark outside, light on, having my early morning coffee ~ husband breaks my peace with "get your camera, Dartmoor looks stunning", so out I went still in me dressing gown. and wow

My first timelapse. Didn't come out as well as I expected but that fine.

Features two angles. The last one is better.

Taken at the Marseilles, Airport in France.

Alfred Wainwright once famously said; "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing". In which case, there appears to have been an awful lot of unsuitable clothing recently!

This is my entry for the #95 - Bad Weather category in the 113 in 2013 Group.

Newcastle Quayside in the Sun 1 of 3

Soaking up the rays on Millenium Bridge but still absorbed in their small screens. Despite the lovely weather in the North East my wife and I still managed to come home with colds! Maybe it’s something to do with our age…

i just got a 9-stop ND filter. stacked on top of a 3-stop ND filter (that's 12 stops, reducing the light intensity by 4000 times), i was able to shoot the Sun. spot metering pushed 4/3 stops.

i see a sunspot. no, it's not a dust on the sensor, as it appears at the same location in every shot, just like on your screen no matter how you scroll. :-)

kids, don't try this at home. without proper filtering, the sun can burn your retina.

This is sun in the clouds.

The garden has some great flowers to shoot this year. Posting early again as I have to leave soon for that rehearsal thing. Gig next week in Elmira. Gotta be sharp.
