Sublime (from the Latin sublīmis) is the quality of greatness, whether physical, moral, intellectual, metaphysical, aesthetic, spiritual, or artistic. The term especially refers to a greatness beyond all possibility of calculation, measurement, or imitation.
This very accurately describes my thoughts as I viewed this scene at the end of my first visit to Yellowstone.
C-GNBN, an Airbus BD-500-1A11 A220-300, taxiing towards runway 06R at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. It was departing as ACA464 (Air Canada) to Ottawa, Ontario.
Serial number 55112 was wearing the 1950s livery of Trans-Canada Air Lines, Air Canada's original name.
This image was captured 26 minutes before the sun slipped below the horizon.
Here's another shot from Point Sublime on the north rim of Grand Canyon. When I first saw it I was bothered by the rock projecting into the frame on the lower right but then thought it just begged for a subject so I stuck a Brazilian Jaguar on the rock.

A walk along the shores of Windermere. We didn't see another person for hours. We didn't speak much - we had no need to. We just revelled in the beauty of nature all around us. Our second day in the Lakes, happy to be away from all the insistent pressures of life in the suburbs.
Hope you enjoy the solitude with me, or can at least imagine it. Thanks as always for any faves, comments or invites - I so appreciate your friendship and support.

A Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) was coming straight for a fishing move right in front of my silent presence. It was all about patience and anticipation, to be in the right place in right time. A whole day wait resulted a sweet composition of the pelican with fully spread out wings positioned perfectly symmetrical with the balancing head in the middle. The soothing backdrop was giving a hint of everything around and another one cursing gently in the opposite direction. Pics was taken from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India.

Santorini is considered to be the most sought-after place for a romantic getaway in Greece, since there are not many places in the world where you can enjoy exquisitely clear waters while perched on the rim of a massive active volcano in the middle of the sea!
Donkeys have played a very important role in Santorini as the Island has numerous inaccessible paths, countless stairs, to which a donkey will happily take you for a charming and somewhat nostalgic ride.
Donkeys have been a reliable partner for transporting goods, as well as the main means of personal transportation around the island for centuries.
Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping its rugged landscape. The lovely whitewashed houses of its two principal towns, Fira and Oia, cling to the cliffs overlooking the sea.
