This is edited for the Smile on Saturday theme “ over-processed” clouds. We are just getting back from a second road trip and I still have not caught up on my last set of travel images. This was taken when we spent the night at this West Point Lighthouse Inn last month. The huge puddle in the parking lot made for some neat reflections of the sunset clouds. But a bit of a boost on the processing made it sublime ( in awe and energy inspiring).

Walking in the Alps during the month of July. So many flowers, contrasts of scenery. The stunning beauty really took your breath away. Snow capped mountains shrouded in cloud and the vivid greens of grass and shrubs and trees. It was a mesmerising experience and made me feel like I really was on top of the world.

Originally a country cafe. Probably built in the late 1940s or early 1950s. It's been used on and off in the past few years as a resale shop and residence.

Next to the river in Khao Yai National Park. It is a very lush area and a beautiful place to relax.

When cool nights following on warm days, lots of humidity is condensing in the air, producing dewdrops on all the surfaces. This is happening in meadows and fields too, were in the morning any single plant is covered with tiny little water drops. When the sun is standing high enough, bringing each of these droplets to shine, it looks like millions of diamonds. An absolutely sublime view for early risers, because in a minimum of times the sun is drying off everything again.

Wenn kühle Nächte auf warme Tage folgen, kondensiert sehr viel Feuchtigkeit in der Luft und es bilden sich Tautropfen an allen Oberflächen. Dies geschieht auch auf den Wiesen und Feldern, wo jede einzelne Pfanze am Morgen von winzig kleinen Tröpfchen bedeckt ist. Wenn dann die Sonne hoch genug steht, und jedes einzelne Tröpfchen zum Leuchten bringt, wirkt das wie millionen Diamanten. Ein absolut grandioser Anblick für den Frühaufsteher, denn in kürzester Zeit hat die Sonne alles wieder abgetrocknet.

Sublime (from the Latin sublīmis) is the quality of greatness, whether physical, moral, intellectual, metaphysical, aesthetic, spiritual, or artistic. The term especially refers to a greatness beyond all possibility of calculation, measurement, or imitation.

This very accurately describes my thoughts as I viewed this scene at the end of my first visit to Yellowstone.
