457 days sober from alcohol today. It all started with me being hungover and saying to myself "You need to leave that stuff alone,man. Its costing you too much". I never attended AA because I was never one to tell his personal business. I didn't consult a physician before going on my sobriety journey. But I had positive results. Sleep got better. Mind got clear. No more taking aspirin like Tic Tacs. No more needing naps because of hangovers. I confess I can still taste booze in my mouth from time to time. During my early days of sobriety,I've had dreams of relapsing that felt all too real. What's keeping me from not picking up another alcoholic beverage is the thought of letting people down who I told Im sober. What I used to say to people of didnt believe I was sober was "Take me to the hospital right now. I'll give you blood and piss. I'll sign whatever". My friends still drink. I cant do nothing about that but stay away from them and just drink Club Soda,Coca Cola and water. One day at a time.
This was parked outside after a meeting I attended. I have no words. But I do have questions. Salad dressing?!
Add crisp bacon crumbles, some grape tomato slices, more Parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and enjoy! Larrupin!
An experiment for tonight's dinner: Lentil & Mushroom stuffed peppers. It's probably the first time I've ever had a creative idea for my own recipe (I think it still counts even if the stuffing is adapted from a Nigel Slater soup recipe). I was pleased with the final product!! :)

Dec. 13, 2023: Dozens of stuffed animals are located in trees at the West end of Pepper Tree Playfield in Newbury Park, California. The placement of the toys is a local Christmas tradition that started at least three years ago.
