Abandoned spaces hold their own intrigue.
It turns out there is an ancient house on campus. It looks like the same general style as the Qing Dynasty house of Susan’s grandmother (see earlier pictures). This one was a rural house though and had a barn section. I am not sure what the school’s long term plans are for the house, but it has been intentionally left standing.
This was from a massive turkey that I purchased post-Thanksgiving and ended up parting out (read: mutilating to pieces). I found a stuffing recipe, then rolled it all up and tied it together with embroidery floss, because I had no twine. It was SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!
This is a stuffed cat that I made for my best friend. When she got her in the mail, she named her Boogers. Her tail and paws are made out of a white rabbit pelt my dad bought from a Native American Shop 8 years ago.
Stuffed scallop savored with friends and family on Martha's Vineyard, July 2009. Modeled by Jenny Marlin.
Getting really into home decor stuff! I made these candle holders for myself but figured others might dig them.... so they are available in my shop:
Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/72371911/cast-vertebrae-candle-holder
or bigcartel: missmonster.bigcartel.com/
They are cast from actual vertebrae in urethane. Pretty cool!
Went on a photo shoot with my wife and a friend of ours...Man you need a lot of stuff...Clothes, makeup, more makeup, hairspray, and of course the camera.
