Computer Science 101

This picture is from inside Peet’s Cafe here on CSUMB campus. It was very

late/early, around 4AM and I had pulled up an all-nighter doing homework

and studying. The place is understandably empty, as most people are in bed

sleeping at this time. This wasn’t during finals time so it’s normal.

Compared to this past finals weekend it definitely would have had people

inside, sitting on the couches with their laptops doing homework and

finishing up last minute projects.

With the assistance of the International Labour Organization (ILO) within the framework of the South-South and Triangular Cooperation, a study tour was arranged in December 2017 for members of the Palestinian Social Security Corporation (PSSC) to the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI) in the Sultanate of Oman as part of a strategic plan to develop the necessary knowledge and skills of the Board of Directors and key managers of the PSSC to be able to effectively implement the new Palestinian social security law and its social security schemes.

On Friday October 13, 2017, the California-Mexico Studies Center (CMSC) in collaboration with Los Angeles Theater Center (LATC), Las Cafeteras, Casa Fina, and Ernie G. presented "American Dreamers", an evening of performance, music, and comedy in benefit of the 2nd Annual Marco A. Firebaugh California-Mexico Dreamers Fund Drive.

The 2nd Annual MAF Dreamers fund drive was organized to celebrate Marco A. Firebaugh's 51st birthday, his life and legacy, as well as to raise funds for the CMSC's pending projects.
