“Two to three hours of studying,

Is good medicine for the soul,

I have tried this remedy,

It never grows old”

While strolling by the lake, I came upon this Hasidic Jew who allowed me to take a photo of him.

It has been rather mild lately considering that it is still winter and so Tofu has spent more time outside again. Yesterday he followed me when I went out do to some garden work. The garden is a mess at the moment but that doesn't bother Tofu as long as his feathered friends are around.

Playing with lighting and flags

Late February in the sunshine. Hazel tree flowers; the male catkin and the smaller female ‘bud-like’ flower. Also on the same twig, the leaf bud.

Seen at The Knapp & Papermil, a Worcestershire Wildlife Trust reserve.

An image I had completely forgotten about after putting it through camera raw.

This is a ten shot focus stack which I did around the same time as the leaf triptych below.

This took a while to put together and edit, all the leaves have such beautiful colour which I believe are Maple.

I had to improvise the black background by laying a black coat on the floor and placing the leaves on that, I then lit the leaves with a small torch to emphasize the leaves .I did have some black card but that got a bit crumpled and creased so a nice contrast with a curves layer made sure the black was a deep black and also brought out those colours.

Nature is amazing I love all the colours of the leaves and the veins and patterns in them.

Just something a bit different to do on a cold wet miserable day.
