Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for Scholars is a post-graduate level academic program for mid-career foreign scholars, faculty, practitioners, and secondary educators whose purpose is to strengthen curricula and to improve the teaching about the United States in academic institutions abroad. SUSIs for Scholars are six-weeks long. These Institutes are comprised of a four to five-week academic residency and a one to two-week educational study tour to a different region of the United States. During the Institutes, scholars engage in rigorous academic coursework and panel discussions, interact and establish networks with American scholars, meet with experts in respective disciplines, visit civic institutions, and in some cases, participate in research symposia and conferences.

The Graduate Studies Matriculation ceremony was held Tuesday August 19, 2025, in the Durham Research Center auditorium. Student and mentor awards were handed out; Portly Ponnusamy, PhD, was the invited speaker; and new students to the programs were recognized.

Institute of International Affairs (AIIA) on 11th July 2016.

of Parliament met the Delegation from the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA).
The Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA) is a think tank that aims to promote the understanding
of international affairs in Australia and reaches out to similar organisations overseas.
The Victorian branch of AIIA (AIIAV) currently has a delegation of 20 members in Sri Lanka that aims to learn
about the country, see the development of the country and the reconciliation efforts. The delegation is spending time
in Colombo, Jaffna, Anuradhapura, Kandy and Dambulla and will visit Australian and other aid projects,
UNESCO world heritage sites, a tea plantation and get an insight into the county's commercial endeavours by visiting a garment factory.
The tour is led by David Ritchie - former Australian High commissioner to Sri Lanka. And the AIIAV's president Patrick Moore is among the delegation.
The tour was organised in part by Sri Lankan born Sean Jesudason, who is part of the AIIAV Council.
The delegation wished the Sri Lankan Parliament every success in forming the new Sri Lankan Constitution
and looks forward to an enriched relationship between the two countries. The delegation look forward to interacting
with the Sri Lankan diaspora in Australia to create more people to people ties and foster a greater understanding of Sri Lanka in Australia.
Sheree came over to borrow some gear-sleeping bag, boots, and a jacket-for a trip to New Hampshire this weekend. I'm always up for spending time with this awesome young woman. And not just because I want to get away from my work!
