This is an acrylic study. I emulated the subtractive monotype technique and I love the result ! (It is not a monotype because I didn't transfer it to paper) It was very exciting to see that this technique can be used with acrylic provided you work fast enough.

William (Bill) White III, retired BLM Physical Scientist, and a team of BLMers used a mud auger to drill salt core samples for salt thickness study. This methodology was used by Bill in 1988 and again in 2003 for salt thickness measurements that occur every 15 years. Bill chose to drill these cores next to holes previously made by the University of Utah's sonic drill with the intention of comparing his results and older methods to the University of Utah results with their new methods.

My Summer Study will be the prophet Hosea. I've studied other prophets, but Hosea will be my "independent study" this summer. This book, one of several I have in this series, was the impetus to begin this year's study. Yes, I'll be reviewing my Hebrew, but it looks to be enriching. I'll try to share updates in the coming days.
There are monks everywhere in Cambodia, and, at least for me, it's hard to think of them as students. I chatted for a few minutes with this guy as he wanted to practice is English, he was attending school in the Wat.
