Actually, not; taken at a local lake, but the dark background makes me think it could have been in a studio. Great Egret.

Studio 26, assignment on night photography
A fun & challenging assignment, & I learned so much through all the different directions I went with it. I'm choosing this one for my final shot because the dogs had the most fun in it. And because I worked hardest at it, with multiple re-takes over several nights. And because of the storytelling aspects, which I'd like to do more of---
This is the recording studio in Sun Studios in Memphis, Tn. In this room was where Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley got their first shots. The microphone to the left was one that was used by Elvis. The X behind it is where he stood when he recorded his first song. The first piano on the left was used by Jerry Lee Lewis all the time. On a different piano in that same spot was where he creted Great Balls of Fire. The drum set belongs to U2 and was used on one of their tours. You can rent out this studio at night for $100 an hour to record your music.

Studio 26 -- You Can't See Me -- assignment on camouflage & hidden animals
This assignment seemed very difficult at first, as it seemed that all animals disappeared at the approach of a camera. I did manage to take a few assignment shots before my trip -- though, sadly, no yucca moths. But then the Bronx Zoo gave me many more options.
I chose this for my final image because I love the otherworldliness of the scene, & it was such a lucky capture, to get an action shot in those low-light conditions. Although the zoo gives a close-up view of the animals, they are so effectively camouflaged among all the branches & vines, it can take awhile to notice all the individuals.

Last week I posted a few "action shots" of this charming fellow who lived with me a couple of years ago. Well, I decided my grieving period is now officially over, so a few days ago I pulled his body from the morgue and respectfully shot a few stacks of him.
This is stacked from 464 exposures in Zerene Stacker.
