Great day. Repurposed page today. The other half of the original page with a bouquet of red flowers was repurposed previously - see below. It's fun to see how they go entirely different places.
It took me over four years to find a way to convey that which I could not describe with mere words. Each day is a gift to be cherished, and I do.
I am very inspired by the works of many talented photographers whom I have already named here, so if my work seems derivative at times, that's most likely because it is.
~Thank you for looking at my photos ~ :) -Jim

He was the one Stroke I didn't see during ACL a few weeks ago (polaroids here: www.flickr.com/photos/pooneh/5059332970/), so it was really cool running into him in NY

Y'all - Kuhjo Daddy had a stroke..
He's lost some control of his legs on his right side. The vet is "cautiously optimistic" that he will heal and his mobility and function will return, to an unknown extent. In the meantime, we are doing our best to keep him comfortable and resting, although keeping a min-pin off his feet is a lot like keeping a horse down. It's hard to do, and really not good for them..
He can barely stand, but set him down in the grass, and he ambles off in search of invisible scent trails and places he wants to see. Luckily, in his current condition, I can keep up with him without having to put his leash on him, so he can roam freely for the first time in his life..
So for a while, his world will alternate between rest and confinement in his kennel, and the freedom of roaming around in the grass - with plenty of cuddle time in between..
Come to think of it - when I retire, that's pretty much all I want... The title to this is from an old Percy Sledge song that I love..
I was in this band called the Strokes, but they kicked me out in 2001. We did electroclash stuff. Never told me why.

Portrait photos of Joey Strokes. Parkour athlete and actor. We added his long time girlfriend into the shoot at the end of the day for some romantic couple shots.
Lighting: Profoto B2 we used a single head and switched up between OCF Grid, bare head, and zoom reflector. I would have liked to have used the OCF Octobox but we had a strong wind all day making it a bad choice for the conditions.
Fucking awesome!
