With 430 + photos of this spot, I can’t find a GREAT shot of the down stroke.
Most Butterfly shots the wings are… the classic up right, great color shot of the wings…
But the down stroke shows the Butterfly’s amazing dexterity in aerodynamics

Lighting: Profoto B2 we used a single head and switched up between OCF Grid, bare head, and zoom reflector. I would have liked to have used the OCF Octobox but we had a strong wind all day making it a bad choice for the conditions.

This was a quite evening in the staff house, so I decided to head down to the jumping rocks to enjoy the sunset.
In this shot the ripples in the water remind me of a painter's brush strokes.

One of the highlights of our Utah-Nevada trip last fall was the serendipitous excursion to Valley of Fire. Nature’s mysterious, mesmerizing creativity was hidden in this magical place. These colorful strokes on rocks composed many beautiful paintings for us to marvel at.
