There was a 3 piece cover band called, The Pulse. Thoroughly entertaining the visitors to the spring fair. They were great!
Bass Guitar: Ernie Rail. Music Man StingRay 5 (Trans Red). With chrome hardware. [5 string]
First introduced in 1976, the StingRay has been revered as one of the most iconic bass guitars in history.
The first bass designed by Ernie Ball Music Man, the Stingray 5 was unveiled in 1987 and has been an industry standard for extended range basses ever since. With its powerful punchy sound, the added flexibility of additional pickups and a comfortably contoured body the StingRay5 satisfies even the most demanding of players. They are not made like this anymore sadly.

Oh, how I love this fiddle.
It's been 4 months since I first started this journey. It's been so fun so far, and next weekend I will do my first recital.
Here is a link to a video of my progress:

Very popular in the 70's and 80's the Ovation is unique with their rounded turtle back body. I don't play this guitar much anymore but still fun to pick at.

While having dinner in small cafe in Lisboa, Portland, we were treated to live music. I loved the pastel colors and side lighting from window to create portrait that seemed like watercolor.

The Saraswati Veena is an Indian plucked string instrument. It is named after the Hindu goddess Saraswati, who is usually depicted holding or playing the instrument. It is mostly used in Carnatic Indian classical music.
A series dedicated to the acoustic guitar. I wanted to learn to play this instrument so I went out and bought a guitar months ago. Fast forward to now, and I still havent learned squat. So it was just hanging around in my room until I got the bright idea to take some photos of it. I hope it plays as great as it photographs.
First submission for the #VoTogs V3 challenge.
I had a mad idea of a collision of classical and science fiction.

So, it begins... another hobby.
I proceeded to have a go at learning the notes. In my logical mind, I thought the notes on the fingerboard would just run down the strings in an evenly spaced way...maybe like a piano. Nein! Oh, and when I say down the strings...really it's up...but...but...going in a downward direction. I don't know why that is really messing with my head!
Is this the hardest instrument to learn ever? I am thinking so!

If you take a tour through Pyongyang, one popular stop is to visit the Mangyongdae Children's Palace. There, you will see some of the most talented children you might ever come across. All groomed to perfection at their various talents.

The chhatris on the lake create a backdrop for Basu Khan as he prepares his musical instrument (I'm not sure whether it's Khamaicha or Ravanhattha) for the only tourist visible - me! :-)

Two-stringed ErHu - a traditional Chinese musical instrument. It is played with a bow, like a cello, and sound has a singing, yet distinctive nasal quality.
Strathcona Market
"Cellists play the lowest, root parts in string quartets, providing an anchor in a chamber music group. In string orchestras, only the bass plays lower parts than the cello.
The cello is so big that players place it between their legs when playing; an end pin, or metal rod, keeps it at the right height. Unlike a violin or viola, a cellist places the bow across the strings level with the floor."

Tag Game: Dolls Play Musical Instruments
Thought I would join the fun and add a couple of photos of my dolls playing instruments. This is the first tag game I have participated in.
When it's 90 degrees out with 90% humidity, sitting in the shade is only second to actual a/c. It always amazes me how people that grow up in different parts of the world are so well adapted to it. The people that can live with 90F weather and not sweat. The sherpas that maintain their oxygen levels, even at altitudes above 14,000 ft. Well, not me.
