Miandam is a charming hill station located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, in the foothills of Hindu Kush mountains. It is located at a distance of 55 km away from Mingora the capital of Swat Valley, and 56 kilometers (35 mi) from Saidu Sharif. The main road continues north up the swat valley and reaches the village of Fatehpur, where the road branches off towards east and runs through gorgeous hillside villages and reaches the popular hill resort of Miandam. Miandam is a very picturesque tourist spot at an elevation of 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level.

I have just recently purchased a pair of amphibian shoes, which are shoes made out of wetsuit material with a hard sole... They are great for walking through water and on rocks...
I had a chat to Edwin last week while he was at work and decided that we would chuck on our daggy clothes and go explore a creek in Lawson, off the beaten track style...
We walked the creek though some amazing cuttings and rainforest... There were many scenes just like the one here in this image and I look forward to many more expeditions into the deeper canyons of the Blue Mountains...

I tried the whole "take the photo from down low" suggestion you always hear professionals give, and I liked it more than the higher up shot! Good job, professionals!
Even though I couldn't edit the RAW file to look as good as the JPEG that came from the camera, I'm publishing it anyway because I worked hours on it. . .
"Streaming Sunset:" After the latest snowstorm hit Arizona, I hiked down along a tributary of Lynx Creek that I knew faced West into the pines in hopes of capturing a colorful sunset. The soft blanket of snow covered the ground and accentuated the lines and curves of the creek as it meandered downstream. Needless to say, I was standing in the middle of the creek on some rocks which just a few days previously were above water level, but at this time, were now fully submerged with the gradual snowmelt that added to the flow. I'm always scouting to find new perspectives from which to shoot, to hopefully add to the images I have from the more common and familiar locations. I hope you enjoy!
