Scenes from the School's Remembrance Service... the children made the ceramic poppies and each class brought a cross to the front
Seadragon is an App on my iPhone. It showed me my house. I was lying in bed when it's GPS option zeroed in on me. It was pretty amazing!
I'm not sure what else it does.

Before going to church today, I was eager to bike here to start the day. Every time I visit this place I'm always reminded to live simply.
This is a photo of the reflection of branches and vegetation on a slight turbulence in the current of a stream in Shubie Park. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical. The detail is best seen full screen.
666 is a Leyland Atlantean AN68 new in 1978 with unique Northern Counties bodywork. The vehicle is a one-off, and featured many features which were light years ahead of its time back in '78, such as electronic destination displays, impact-absorbant front bumper, one-piece flat windscreen (with three wipers!) and an extremely angular front-end design. A strange vehicle, even by Nottingham's standards!
The vehicle is now preserved at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Ruddington.
I chanced upon this small stream in the Lake District while exploring the Whinlatter Pass. A walk off of the path and up the stream for half a mile and I came across this shallow area with a very interesting water flow. This area is truly stunning, untouched by tourist groups. I took my photos and left it as I found it.

"Meandering rivers, streams and burns
Zig zagging, flowing in contour turns
Along these rivers, streams and burns
Grow many grasses, trees and ferns
Varieties of greens in wonderment bloom
A most beautiful sight is natures front room
Her seasons dictate, the rise and the fall
The pictures she paints, delightfully enthrals"

I found this delightful spot on my walk yesterday...

Sunlight streaming in through the bathroom window, flowing across the foyer into the livingroom.
This occurs only twice per year for 3 days or so, as the sun passes by the small slit between the window and the door.
Another view of the Mill Pond Stream in Bracknell. This time looking at the bridge where I took the first shot from.
