Pacific Northwest Exposed

I took a hike into the Olympic Mountains today and came across this little gem.

Walk around Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire

2021

This is another shot of the waterfall that Rhys and I stumbled across last week. There was some very nice light in that canyon

This seasonal flow feeds the Salmon River near Green Canyon and flows down from the side of Hunchback Mountain near Welches and Mount Hood, Oregon.

In the Summer this stream will be dry. Even on a dry Winter this stream may not become more than a trickle. The warmer weather in the last day or so is melting the snow and swelling the streams.

The Salmon River is rushing full tilt. I tried my best to get a few shots this afternoon but the incessant downpours made it difficult.

Tomorrow's Friday! We're almost there. : )

A stream near Mt. Seonunsa

A Colorado mountain stream and wildflowers. This photo may be a good example of putting too much into an image. I'm completely zoomed in with my 24-70mm, so I could not isolate anything from my view point. I either needed to get closer to the stream or crop this image. Getting closer for the original shot is preferable, since cropping this image will always include something that might be distracting and one can't change the composition via cropping.

Im not very sattisfied with the outcome of this one actually. But i started today to experiment with rushing water, and people have to start somewhere. This is my first try so i need some time to get better :D I have taken pictures of water before but without support from a tripod, so im sure i will get more photos of silky water up here in the future when i know have some support from a flexipod

While the river of life glides along smoothly, it remains the same river; only the landscape on either bank seems to change.

each one a breath exhaled by nothing.
