Here is the Pyrex glass baking pan with four sweet potatoes. They are fresh out of the oven and very hot. You can see the caramelized sugar that oozed out of the sweet potatoes and perfumed the whole house with their delicious sweetness..
I have removed the leftmost sweet potato. I slit it lengthwise, spread it open a bit and start eating with a fork...

Two of my father's older sisters spent the last few decades of their lives in a house adjacent to this stream, and it is a place dear in the memories of many of their nieces and nephews, including me. This view was taken from a bridge over the creek nearby, and the house itself is masked by new-growth forest at upper-right. Sadly, the house is now abandoned and being subsumed back into nature.
Didn't have much time to get any good shots, and it's such a gloomy time of year. These latest shots are located adjacent to the ball field in Mahwah, NJ by Airmont Road. Still too cold for me. Brrrr! Praise the Lord anyway!
This images was taken on a day out in Lyme Regis. I love finding places that still have a feel of the past
rice cutgrass (Leersia oryzoides) at the mouth of Fern Hollow Creek. This species is usually only found in slower or still water.
