Taken in Gatlinburg, TN, in the National Park..

The stream at Kakopetria running past the Mill which serves the best sauce to go with their fresh trout

(The trout is not caught in these waters)

fallen cherry blossoms.

I took this photo from a small bridge over the stream but without a tripod because I never carry one. Of the three photos I took, this one gave me the idea of cropping it for an abstract photo because the water formed interesting shapes. I just saw this when uploaded the photos to my pc. See photo below! 👇

Still most of the leaves are green or turning brown from lack of rain. I hope everything changes during the next few days.

👉Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment, so I can visit you, too...much appreciated!

Savoy Mountain State Forest

We have been hiking in to some pretty awesome water falls this past couple of weeks. This one was only a 2 mile round trip hike. WHY have we not known about this before!!!??? It was so gorgeous. I am sure I will be posting some of the other angles of it. Playing with a new filter, so not that great of white water, but I am getting the hang of it.

Creeks converge here in Ricketts Glen State Park.

This Blue Heron lives at Fassnight Park, about a five-minute walk from our home, and has become so used to us stalking him that occasionally he seems to pause for the camera to accomodate us before continuing his search for crawdads and minnows. . .

It's a shame that a good Holiday weekend must come to an end. My 3 hour travel back to West Chester, Pennsylvania for my current internship leaves a lot to be desired...

We got about 20 cm of snow last night and I should be out getting photos but our street is a mess..and it is warm and cozy int he house..feeling lazy! I took so many photos in autumn and never posted most....

Went down to the little river near where I live, trying some longer exposures. Unfortunately due to garbage (platic mostly) almost everywhere I had to find the tightest angles. We do have the best DSLRs, smartphones and more but that's the direct consequence on Nature: pollution and garbage. This is cropped a lot couse I wanted to emphasize the flow and did some major editing on curves to gain more contrast between light and dark areas.

Pennyhill june 2021

Autumn has arrived so I thought I'd put up an intimate view of these lovely falls. The fallen tree has helped add some excellent autumnal colour. The tree is about 10 feet in front of the falls so I had to focus stack the shot to get both sharp.

I did not bring a tripod and this shot was taken with my camera sitting on the bridge。Since we were in the midst of hiking, I didn't use my ND filter either

Autumn is painting Columbia River Gorge with beautiful colors.
