I liked the stream from this angle, and thought it would make a good painting - but the jury is out on my first attempt.

Water falls over the rocks of this mountain stream near Andrews, North Carolina. See this, and more, on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com.
I am very impressed with the dynamic range of my new (secondhand) A7iii, and the resultant details in the dark areas.
The previous image is a crop of this one with very different tone settings. (Lightroom)
Madonna del Feles, on a cold rainy afternoon - in fact note the snow almost completely melted - the wet leaves, survived the cold winter, have taken on more vivid shades: the water, wetting them, has increased their color and has made them more shiny. A precious opportunity, not to be wasted... in fact, the large chestnut leaves, dry, are of an orangeish brown that isn't really a splendor.

This was a stream I spotted near to our accommodation in Cornwall. The fallen leaves on the moss covered rocks tells the story of approaching Autumn and high winds. later that day it stared to rain and carried on for hours, the next morning it was a couple of feet deep I think . A five shot focus stack.

This stream is fed by rain water falling on the hills and farmland of north-west Northamptonshire. The stream meanders slowly to the south, joining with other small streams and eventually joining the River Nene at Northampton. The Nene eventually flows across the Fens and joins the sea at The Wash.
This is the view at the Fairy Glen in Snowdonia, North Wales.
I was down close to the water to get a view through the gorge and with the composition decided it was then a case of waiting for the clouds to shift and allow some sunlight to illuminate parts of the scene.
A six second long exposure reveals the movement of bubbles on the water, helping to lead your eye through the scene.

I have rarely seen a building that made such an astonishing, overpowering impression on my heart and soul. I am sure that inside very serious matters are discussed and decided upon, but what matters for me is that the outside of the building radiates pure creative joy and inspiration. And even though the weather was very far away from sunny and warm, I did not care at all. I just kept watching and admiring all of its angles and details. I hope that the positive energy of this cascade of pleasure will also be transported to you through this image.
Dreaming of my mountains.
The Grandes Murailles is a mountain chain located in Aosta Valley between Valpelline and Valtournenche. Lies to the west of Cervinia.
From the left Cresta Albertini and Dent d’Herens , surrounded with clouds Punta Bianca, Punta Carrel and Punta Mara Cristina.
I was in Virginia on business earlier this week. Autumn is in full swing up there. On the drive up there, I was on a tight schedule and couldn't stop to take pictures. If you've never driven through western Virginia, you are definitely missing out. The mountains, the beautiful rolling foothills, a lot of classic scenes of rural America, etc. In other words....a million photo ops.
Fortunately on the way home yesterday, I wasn't on a schedule, so I took a trip up into the mountains off I-81, through a town called Vesuvius. I eventually ended up visiting a place called Crabtree Falls (sheer luck). On the way, I passed by several spots on this mountain stream and stopped a couple of times to shoot it. The entire place was breathtaking.
